This year, Seva Sahayog Foundation had the privilege to host C20 Chaupal (in partnership with the Sewa International,Welingkar Institute of Management) – Civil 20India 2023 event on Sewa – Sense of Service, Philanthropy and Volunteerism”, at L.N. Welingkar Institute of Management, Matunga.
(C20 Chaupal meetings are a series of consultations and discussions organized by the Civil20 (C20) engagement group in the lead-up to the G20 summit. These meetings are designed to provide a platform for civil society organizations to engage with each other and with policymakers on issues related to the G20 agenda.)
The theme of C20 Chaupal being ‘Role of Philanthropy in social transformation’. Top leaders & eminent speakers including but not limited to Hon. Governor Shri. Ramesh Bais, Cabinet Minister Shri. Mangal Prabhat Lodha, and IAS officer Praveen Pardeshi enlightened us with their ideas of philanthropy and made us believe that Charity begins at home, but should not end there. A thought-provoking talk by Dr.Satish Modh was followed by a panel discussion between Prof.Satyajit Majumdar (Dean, School of Management and Labour studies, TISS) and Dr.Uday Salunkhe (Group Director, WeSchool). We appreciate thought leaders from civil society, corporates, philanthropists, academicians, and government officials whose engagement and enthusiasm made the event a lively and interactive experience.
